"Remembered Landscape Near Lithgow" 122X122cm With the Wynne Prize quickly approaching I have decided to submit this new painting from my Remembered Landscapes series. The prize is Australia's premier landscape prize and competition to be a finalist is high, so I have my fingers, toes and everything else crossed! On another note, I am thrilled that my series "First Light, Bombo Quarry" has been selected as a finalist in the NSW Parliament Plein Air Prize. The show will be on at Parliament House in Sydney until July 31st. The winner of the prestigious $20,000 prize this year was Evan Salmon with a wonderful series of studies of Port Kembla. It's been a great month for me and my painting "Cliffs at Bombo" has also been selected as a finalist in the Waverley Art Prize. Still waiting to hear who the winner is...promises to be a tough competition based on the standard of entries I have seen so far. The Waverley Art Prize will be on show at Waverley Woollahra Art School from July 3-12.
