Get ready to take your art to the next level with this relaxed and informative 5 day workshop in the Shellharbour area. We will be based in the studio with some en plein air sessions factored in for those who wish (weather permitting). Suitable for oils, acrylics, gouache. This workshop is best suited to intermediate artists. If you are a beginner please contact me first.
Shellharbour is a stunning location for a summer getaway... sparkling beaches, plenty of cafes and dining options in Shellharbour Village, beautiful Killalea State Park and... our brand new Shell Cove Marina!
When: March 8-12, 2023. Daily 9:30am -4pm

Learn:
- the principles of composition (avoid the mistakes most artists make)
- colour principles and how to use a limited palette
- how to use tonal value to create depth and contrast
- how to discover "hidden glimpses" in the landscape
- how to create looser paintings and incorporate mark making
- and lots more!
Itinerary:
- The itinerary is flexible and will be based on students’ needs. Workshop hours are 9:30-4:00 daily
- Most mornings will be spent working on exercises
- Afternoons may be spent completing paintings from the morning’s exercises, or painting en plein air
- Optional dining out for dinner as a group (at individual's expense)
What’s included:
- 5 day workshop
- Painting demonstrations in acrylics and oils
- 1:1 tuition from 2 experienced art teachers (myself and wife Kerrie)
- Morning and afternoon tea, coffee and tea
- Easels are provided, but if you have a favourite easel, feel free to bring it along :)

- Please note that due to limited class size, purchased spots for all workshops are transferable but payment is non-refundable. What this means: If you buy a class spot and are unable to attend, and if there is a waiting list of students that has formed, we will attempt to offer your spot to the first person on the list.
