A Conversation, Just Missed

I’ve always liked kitchens more than living rooms.

They don’t try as hard. They just sit there and wait for something to happen.

This one felt like it had already happened — the chairs slightly off, the light arriving too early, the table still holding onto whatever was said the night before.

I didn’t change anything. Just painted it as if it might remember for me.
