Coastline With Oranges

I booked the place for the view, but it was the sideboard that stole the show. Mid-century legs, morning light across the floor, and a bowl of oranges perfectly posed like they knew I’d be painting them.

I was supposed to be on a hike, but I didn’t go anywhere that day. I sat on the floor with my back against the couch, watching the sun move across that cupboard, sketchbook in hand, thinking… yep, this one’s coming home with me.
