Echoes of a Room

Some paintings start as memories—a room I sat in, a landscape glimpsed through a window. But once I begin, it becomes a game of light and shadow, of quiet conversations between objects. 

This one pulled me in with the way the chair and guitar echoed each other, the outside world spilling in. Memory is the spark, but then the painting takes on a life of its own.
