"Find Your Flow" is a 5-day workshop for artists who want to rebuild confidence, refresh core techniques, and gain creative momentum. Whether you're returning to the easel or continuing work in progress, this workshop offers a supportive environment to reconnect with your painting practice.

We'll revisit foundational skills like composition, colour, and tonal value through a mix of short prompts and open studio time. Bring your own ideas or start fresh each day—there’s room for both. With relaxed coastal energy and plenty of one-on-one guidance, you’ll find the rhythm that works for you.

Best suited to intermediate painters, returners, or anyone looking for a creative reset.

When: Daily 9:30am -4pm
Where: The Imaginarium, cnr Addison and Wentworth Streets, Shellharbour NSW 2529
Cost: $1500 pp
Materials: A full materials list will be sent out prior to the workshop

Learn: 

  • Refresh core painting techniques with focused daily prompts
  • Learn how to troubleshoot unfinished or unresolved paintings
  • Build confidence in your colour and composition decisions
  • Explore your own painting rhythm and style in a supportive space
  • Discover new ways to move forward when you're feeling stuck

Itinerary:

  • The itinerary is flexible and designed around each student’s needs
  • Mornings will typically include optional warm-up exercises and short prompts
  • Afternoons are open studio time—bring works-in-progress or start fresh
  • One-on-one support and group feedback sessions throughout the day
  • Optional dinner out as a group (at individual expense)

What’s included:

  • 5 day workshop
  • Painting demonstrations in acrylics and oils 
  • 1:1 tuition from 2 experienced art teachers (myself and wife Kerrie)
  • Morning and afternoon tea, coffee and tea
  • Easels are provided, but if you have a favourite easel, feel free to bring it along :)

  • Meals and accommodation
  • Art materials

Cancellation Policy: If you buy a class spot and are unable to attend, and if there is a waiting list of students that has formed, we will attempt to offer your spot to the first person on the list. If a replacement can not been found, refunds will not be issued.
