We’d walked the harbour all afternoon and came back to our tiny rental flat. Just enough room for a chopping board, two chairs that looked like something straight out of your uncle’s shed, and the kind of view that makes you forget you haven’t booked dinner anywhere.

The kitchen fitted exactly one human at a time. I chopped onions and celery while Kerrie read out the cooking instructions from across the room — possibly from the bathroom.

Dinner was improvised, the wine was better than expected. Best weekend ever :)
