Unexpected Elegance

I stayed in a guesthouse once in Scotland where the bathroom got the best light in the whole place. The rest of the house was creaky and dim, but this room—this odd, glorious room—had a sink like a sculpture and golden afternoon sun pouring in like it had booked the place in advance.

I’ve remembered it ever since.

It felt like the kind of bathroom that deserved a painting. So I made one.
