Window on the Fjord

We stayed in a cabin high above a Norwegian fjord — the kind of place with one enormous picture window that made you forget there were walls at all. 

Mornings would begin with that strange northern light — half silver, half gold — pouring through the windows and making the water below shimmer like glass.
